2024 Mazda CX-30: New Variants and Technological Upgrades

Mazda Canada has unveiled the pricing and new features for its 2024 CX-30 line-up, which includes several technological and performance upgrades along with a new Suna model. The latest version of this compact SUV will start at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $28,150 for the base CX-30 GX model, climbing to $40,700 for the new Suna Edition.


Engine and Performance


The 2024 CX-30 now houses a Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter engine with cylinder deactivation as standard, substituting the former Skyactiv-G 2.0-liter engine. This new engine offers 191 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque on regular fuel. The upgrade results in a 28 percent horsepower spike along with an improvement in fuel efficiency.


The CX-30 GX: The Foundation


Priced at $28,150, the base CX-30 GX model incorporates the i-Activ All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system. Additional standard features include G-Vectoring Control Plus and Off-Road Traction Assist. The GX model couples its Skyactiv-G 2.5-liter engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. On the safety front, i-Activsense safety features like Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Traffic Alert come standard. The GX interior is highlighted by an 8.8-inch center display integrated with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and outfitted with a seven-inch LCD multi-information gauge display.


Mid-Tier CX-30 GS and GS Luxury Package


Stepping up to the GS model, priced at $31,450, brings a full suite of i-Activsense safety features, including Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop&Go and Lane Departure Warning System. The interior sees the addition of dual-zone automatic climate controls and a heated steering wheel. An optional GS Luxury Package for $33,650 adds a 10.25-inch full-colour center touch display along with various comfort and convenience features like seat memory and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.


The Premium CX-30 GT and GT Turbo


For those seeking more luxury and performance, the GT model is available for $37,550. The GT model offers an enhanced audio experience through a 12-speaker Bose premium system and comes with full-colour windshield-projected Active Driving Display. New in the GT for 2024 is a Cruising and Traffic Support system that assists in maintaining distance and lane positioning.


The GT Turbo model adds an extra performance layer, delivering 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque on premium fuel. This model is priced at $39,950.


The All-New Suna Edition


Lastly, the newly announced Suna model takes the GT Turbo’s performance and adds unique aesthetic touches. Priced at $40,700, the Suna model offers an exclusive Zircon Sand exterior color along with Terracotta leatherette and black suede-trimmed seats.
